Fish!

My card for today was inpired by this card from Laura Bassen. I love her work!! Make sure you check it out on her blog "Doublestick Heaven"!

I created more or less the same background and splatched some water over it. Than I cut it out and used it as a sea for my adorable Paper Smooches fischies. I added some glitter and gloss to finnish the card (the little fish are covered with glossy accent but you do not see this very well on the picture). The paper, letters and seguins I used are all from the SSS-march kit.

I saw this technique on Jennifer McGuire's blog and thought it would be a perfect technique for the crayon stamp from this months SSS-cardkit (you can find her video and awesome card here). Since it needed something extra I also coloured the drops that felt on the white part of the cardstock to add some extra colour.

I used watercolour paper as a base and hand draw the black border.

Worm birthday whishes!

Met mijn rode wangen en rode neus zie ik er uit alsof ik (nu al!) een hele fles Chardonnay heb leeggetoeterd maar het is echt van het zonnetje!! ha ha wat een weertje vandaag he! Onze Bram is op slippers en in T-shirt krantjes aan het gooien en iedereen lijkt vandaag heerlijk buiten te zijn.

Ik ga dan ook snel deze kaart posten die ik gisteravond nog gemaakt heb en schiet dan ook weer lekker met mijn boek het zonnetje in. Die strijk kan wel wachten ;-).

Met deze kaart doe ik mee met de Crazy for Cas challenge. Ik vond de schets zo leuk, daar wilde ik mijn tanden graag in zetten! In de SSS-kit zat een sjabloon van een regenboog die perfect was voor deze schets.

De worm is van Paper Smootches, ik vind hem zo grappig!! Voor de achtergrond heb ik een stempel van Hero Arts gebruikt en de circels zijn met een sjabloon van SSS en distress inkt gedaan.
