PTI Make It Monday #108 Inked backgrounds

I love the technique Heather showed on the PTI Make it Monday this week. I used it already on this Christmas card set I made a while ago.




This time I tried it with my new Irresistibly Ikat set. I didn't use these stamps before but I think I am hooked now! Before I stamped with the versamark I first inked the white paper a little bit so it won't be to harsh on the warm colors I wanted to use.

    The Christmas cards are stunning!! I love that you lightly inked the card before stamping the Ikat image - definitely creates a softer, warmer image.

    Nichole, loving every detail about your MIM card. The stamping is brilliant. The cork banner, the stitching, really so great. The best is the coloring. Wow!

    SO loving your resist, and how you thought to stamp something underneath it first for added dimension! Plus the cork and the silver ... a really wonderful card!
